Putting PPE Front and Center
How iRemedy evolved over 15 years to become a leader in global medical supply.
Brothers Tony and Gary Paquin started incubating iRemedy 15 years ago with the idea that retail products and services would be the next wave in healthcare. They founded Paquin Healthcare Companies to educate the U.S. healthcare industry on how to adapt and engage patients with retail models and technologies. In 2009, Tony’s book, “The Retail Healthcare Revolution”, laid out strategies for how healthcare institutions could get in on the consumer-driven market for products and services—and urged them to do so to remain profitable.
After seeing the cost of medical supplies continue to surge (after payroll, they are second highest expense for hospitals, surgery centers and providers) and gaining an inside view of an antiquated industry, the Paquins decided to tackle the problem head on. The company evolved into iRemedy and began sourcing medical supplies directly from manufacturers around the world to unlock easy access to products for healthcare institutions of all sizes. In 2016, iRemedy launched its custom-built retail platform enabling transparency and real-time, competitive pricing of the widest selection of medical goods—an industry first.
iRemedy’s mission to heal the world has remained unchanged.
Right now that means providing the most reliable, critically needed PPE products at fair prices to healthcare professionals, surgery centers, schools, salons, gyms and individuals. Unlike entrenched suppliers, iRemedy bypasses the supply-chain bottlenecks of single-source contracts by working with verified vendors all over the world. Products from multiple manufacturers are aggregated on our e-comm marketplace, offering real-time pricing and up-to-date inventory data.
We are working nonstop to source, test, inspect and replenish all our PPE so that you have peace of mind. We’ve edited our selection to the most frequently used items (face masks, gowns, thermometers and more) that other distributors can’t keep in stock. Recently, we delivered millions of units to first responders and frontline workers in Arizona, where Covid-19 cases are at peak levels. We will continue to work with states and healthcare systems to provide PPE to the areas that need it most.
