iRemedy Introduces ENU Complete Nutrition Shakes to its Marketplace
NEW YORK, NY – July 16, 2019 – The iRemedy Healthcare Companies announced the addition of ENU Complete Nutrition Meal Replacement Shakes to their marketplace. ENU Nutrition products were developed by Trovita Health Science and launched in 2014. ENU is now jointly manufactured and marketed by Trovita and Cambrooke Ajinomoto, Inc. Nearly 3 million servings of ENU have been consumed, and ENU is accepted by patients and caregivers as an excellent option to maintain weight while battling an illness. A study of 250 patients battling cancer showed that 78% of patients preferred the taste of ENU over currently available shake options that are higher in sugar. ENU’s taste profile consists of a lower sweetness level, and may allow for a greater compliance due to potential reduction in taste fatigue.
Trovita developed ENU Complete Nutrition Shakes in collaboration with oncology dietitians to provide optimal nutritional balance, and a vitamin and mineral profile designed to not interfere with certain cancer treatment regimens. The nutritional profile of ENU allows for the delivery of a high level of protein and calories without compromising on quality. ENU contains 50-60% less sugar per serving than other shakes in the meal replacement category. These shakes are made with non-GMO ingredients from real food sources, and don't contain anything artificial. In addition, ENU does not contain carrageenan, which has been proven to cause gastrointestinal inflammation. ENU is gluten free, lactose free, and is free of corn syrup so that it can meet the needs of a wide variety of patients who are at risk for malnutrition. ENU has been approved by CMS for reimbursement under HCPCS code B4150, for enteral nutrition, and provides all essential macronutrients and micronutrients to qualify as a single-source nutrition product for tube feeding.
“People who shop at our marketplace could be doing so to meet a variety of needs. That’s why we like carrying versatile products like ENU, which can help provide a high-quality source of nutrients for people looking to mitigate weight-loss caused by an illness, or to overcome their risk of malnutrition,” said iRemedy CEO Tony Paquin.
